“Earth Hour” is a worldwide event organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). People across the world turn their non-essential lights off at the appointed time for one hour. It aims to spread out the messages of reducing energy consumption and the importance of low-carbon living. “Earth Hour 2016” was held at 20:30 to 21:30 on 19 March 2016(Saturday).
The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) attaches great importance to environmental protection. This was our sixth year in supporting this meaningful event. The non-essential lights in our units and offices were turned off during the Earth Hour without affecting the service to promote the message of environmental protection to the public.
