Earth Day: Tree-Planting Experience

In celebration of “World Earth Day”, and sponsored by ICBC (Asia) Charitable Foundation, the Sustainability Unit of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups will be hosting a “Tree Planting Experience” event on April 13, 2024. The aim is to raise public awareness about environmental protection and call on everyone to work together to protect our planet’s resources.

On the day of the event, corporate volunteers and youth participants will come together at the Lamma Youth Camp to actively engage in tree planting. Everyone will enthusiastically participate, learning how to plant and care for trees, and understanding the importance of trees for the Earth’s ecology and climate regulation. This activity not only allows participants to take part in tree planting and help green the environment, but also deepens their environmental protection awareness through interactive and educational activities.

Practice a low-carbon lifestyle to make Earth’s resources sustainable!

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups has partnered with the ICBC (Asia) Charitable Foundation to launch the “Youth Carbon Reduction Platform” to encourage and promote local youth to practice carbon-reducing behaviors in their daily lives. Through simple registration, participants can record their carbon-reducing actions in daily life, input their carbon reduction records regularly, and also examine and cultivate low-carbon living habits. Every carbon-reducing action you take helps reduce the impact on the environment, contributes to environmental conservation, and ensures the sustainability of the Earth’s resources.
